As the former CEO of Stark Industries, he was originally one of the world's leading minds in weapons manufacturing before experiencing a life-changing epiphany in Afghanistan.

THE CATALYST

Captured by the Ten Rings, Stark was forced to witness the devastation his own weapons caused. Survival demanded innovation.

Using his own genius and scattered resources, Stark built the miniaturized Arc Reactor to keep himself alive, powering a crude suit of armor to escape his captors.

THE LEGACY

Upon his return, he shut down Stark Industries' weapons division and dedicated his life to clean energy and global protection as the invincible superhero known as Iron Man.
